Fly fish for trophy Rainbow, Char, Grayling & all five species of Pacific Salmon
On the upper reaches of Alaska's Nushagak River you'll find nestled next to the mouth of the King Salmon a special and magical spot. A Native Allotment, with cabins for guests, on 40 acres in the middle of a pristine wilderness.
You'll share this special location with a few million fish. These headwaters are the spawning grounds for all 5 species of Pacific Salmon. In the evening you'll enjoy watching the spawning beds in front of the cabins and all day the many short sojourns to fish for Rainbow, Char, and Grayling along with the Salmon that fill these waters. Pike inhabit the backwater sloughs
These waters are teaming with Native resident fish feasting on the eggs of the spawning salmon. Because these fish rarely, if ever, see a fly or leader it makes for some of the most spectacular fly fishing found anywhere.
Situated at the heart of the headwaters for Bristol Bay, known as "The Salmon Capital of the World" you'll experience a world class destination.
There is no other opportunity as diverse as you'll find fishing these waters. We are situated 162 river miles from Dillingham Alaska approximately 42 miles above the last Native village on the river.
Limited to six guest per week you will have every need catered to in a manner unique to our sport and not readily found. We offer all the modern conveniences, and except for the location, you will find all the luxuries of your favorite vacation destination. We offer fully guided fishing with two guests to a boat.
Not only do we have the opportunity to catch hundreds of fish per visit some of these fish are in a class of their own...truly "Trophy Fish of a Lifetime". We practice "Catch and Release" on everything except Silvers and Pink Salmon.
Because of its remoteness it is possibly one of the most secluded fishing locations you'll find anywhere. Though you may see a few other fishermen it won't be a regular occurrence.
Your Alaska Fly Fishing Adventures begin here!
We offer trips on the lower and upper reaches of the Nushagak, including the the King Salmon River. Our offerings include fly fishing though a few use terminal tackle. Fly fishing is one of the most rewarding of fishing pursuits. Our targeted species will vary some depending on the time of the season. Rainbows, Arctic Char, & Grayling are abundant throughout the summer and fall but salmon change during the course of the season. We tailor your fly fishing quest with the dates of abundance for each species and customize your visit depending on the species of your preferences.
Fly fishing for Rainbow and Silver Salmon is one of the most enjoyable and exciting trips you can experience. These Silver bullets take the fly readily and the running leaping dance of these fish is as exciting as any fishing you will experience. It is common for Silver Salmon to weigh from 6 to 12 pounds but larger fish are landed regularly. Typically this is a July to September time.
We offer June & July dates for King on the lower river. These bruisers inhabit the deeper channels and are more difficult to fish for on the fly. This is a voracious predator that will challenge your skills and the best of gear. The kings will run up to 50 pounds, or more, and require a great deal of skill on fly gear. You should be prepared for fights of 15 to 45 minutes to land some of these giants. Catching Rainbow Trout are less common during this pursuit as they typically inhabit different eco zones and are not as abundant in these waters.
We operate multiple locations to best serve your desires. All of our camps are wilderness camps with modern conveniences and you'll have the time of your life fly fishing in the remote regions of our Alaska Salmon and Rainbow Fishing locations!
